Last week wrapped up Boston Little Coders Academy. A program designed to introduce children as young as 5 yrs old to the world of computer science. This beginners course takes children who are unfamiliar to programming and teaches them the basics. Children who successfully complete this program become eligible for Advance Young Coders Academy when offered. Special Thank you to; BPS Parent University, Boston Public Schools, BPS Technology, and Tech Goes Home for making this program possible.

Sketching 101 Course

Develop sketching and 2D Design skills during a five-week course open to adults ages 17 and up at the Roxbury Innovation Center (RIC). This course will focus on how to sketch your ideas using Autodesk Sketchbook software, in order to communicate your project ideas to a wide audience.

May 17th - June 14th

2018 Legos Robotics Showcase!

TSN invites you to our 4th Lego Robotics Showcase at Bruce C. Bolling Municipal Building. We have 9 TSN Centers, roughly around 100-125 students who are participating during the current spring semester. Come to see what all of our students/parents are creating, solving, and innovating with their Robots. We look forward to seeing you. Below is last years showcase competition.

Over the last 10 weeks, over 100 young participants from 9 TSN Centers worked together with first year engineering students from @Northeastern University where they learned the ins and outs of @LEGO Robotics before completing in the annual competition above.

Within the 60 seconds of mLab's (Mbadika Laboratory) video using Tinkercad and a #3DPrinter - students and viewers are exposed to a full STEAM curriculum of; Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, & Math. More programs in which TSN is starting to offer more of will expose participants to a full STEM/STEAM curriculum along with using state-of-the-art equipment.
