Being in the Online Learning Readiness Program was a wonderful experience for me.
It gave me the opportunity to take a much needed break from the stressful life of a full time student. It showed me that technology can be fun, informative and showed me that because I’ve taken this class and have become more technology literate I have opened a whole new window of future job opportunities.
Taking that class helped me realize that I actually had the brain power and will power to become a teacher to students in other countries but it also helped me to realize that as much as I love the thought of teaching my wisdoms to the world I cannot give up on my dream of becoming a singer/songwriter. As of right now in my life I am taking a night school class and by some stroke of luck the class is called Technology Literacy or as I know it Online Learning Readiness. If I had not been in the Timothy Smith Program I would not be as knowledgeable as I am now and I would have probably given up half way instead of seeing it all the way through. The OLLR program gave me the patience I needed to not give up and try to make something of myself.
I am currently working at Panera Bread trying to save up enough money to move to Orlando, Florida and attend Full Sail University. The school is pretty expensive but once I find some good scholarships I think I’ll be okay. Going to that school I’ll have to already have experience with computers and how to navigate huge music sound boards and the OLLR class was the jumpstart I needed to use what I learned in class on what I’ll need to learn at Full Sail. I know that when I apply for Full Sail University I’ll be proud to put The Timothy Smith Network and the OLLR Program on my college application.
