This class will teach teens more effective and creative uses of common applications they will need for school, while also providing training on basic web design and the use of free image editing/graphic design software. Students will develop a creative project or business product of their own choosing (for example, designing a sneaker or an album) and will apply the skills learned in various software programs (GIMP, Publisher, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) to the full development of this core project. The course will emphasize communication and technology use as it applies to topics the students have expressed an interest in.
