Description:
This 12-week program focuses on enabling participants to acquire skills in three areas: becoming independent learners, acquiring technology skills, and to preparing to enter the workforce. Classes meet 4 days per week for at least 4 hours and participants are expected to spend an additional 6 to 10 hours out of class time completing assignments. Participants who successfully complete OLLR will earn a \"Digital Literacy\" certificate and are eligible to purchase a netbook for a $50 co-pay.
Prerequisites:
Participants must have at least a GED or be enrolled in a GED program, read at a 9th grade level, and reside in Boston.
